PHOTOCRAFT FIELD GUIDE - SMALL PSD TEST PACK
Test date: 12 October 2026. PhotoCraft 0.7.0 (792616159), macOS Apple silicon.

Four synthetic 320 x 240 RGB 8-bit inputs, authored with ag-psd 31.0.3
and @napi-rs/canvas 1.0.11, not Photoshop:
01-layers: green background plus a named orange rectangle layer.
02-transparency: transparent canvas with a half-alpha rectangle.
03-mask: pixel mask reveals only the left half of a rectangle.
04-text: editable point text CRAFT, referencing ArialMT at 32 pt.
No font files are included. Your installed fonts can change rendering.

RESULTS
The first three inputs matched independent expected PNGs exactly.
All four inputs retained layer count/names and the relevant mask/text
metadata in saved PSD files, checked by an independent ag-psd readback.
Each saved PSD was closed and reopened in the official CLI engine.
PhotoCraft's before/after renders and PNG exports matched exactly.
For text, 489 of 76800 pixels differed from the generator rasterization;
maximum premultiplied RGBA channel difference was 26/255. This is not
an Adobe Photoshop comparison. Editing text to CRAFT EDITED and saving
and reopening preserved the editable Type content.

LIMITS
This small fixture set does not prove full PSD compatibility. No Photoshop
application, PSB, CMYK, smart objects, effects or production-size files
were tested. CLI tests cover the engine; desktop screenshots on the site
separately show the real Curves dialog, reopened first edit and mask file.

REPRODUCE
Open copies of each PSD in your installed editor, compare to its expected
PNG, change a layer, save under a new name and reopen. Keep the originals.
To regenerate original inputs (requires Node.js):
  npm install ag-psd@31.0.3 @napi-rs/canvas@1.0.11
  node generate-fixtures.cjs
The script creates a fixtures subdirectory and validates core metadata.
It does not install or run PhotoCraft. To automate PhotoCraft tests, use
the official capability-scoped serve/control protocol documentation:
https://github.com/storytold/photocraft/blob/v0.7.0/docs/control-protocol.md
